SB Nation Reacts: Rockets fan confidence remains high and a question about Luka

What did the voters have to say this week?

This week’s edition of SB Nation Reacts has our Houston Rockets weekly fan confidence rating, but we also have some interesting national questions this week.

First thing’s first, however, and here’s our weekly fan confidence poll.

As you can see, Rockets fan confidence continues to rise despite all of the losing. The team continues to showcase some of the young talent they have to build off of, and Kelly Olynyk has been a revelation despite Rafael Stone taking some heat when he traded Victor Oladipo away for Olynyk and Avery Bradley.

The fact that the team continues to be interesting to watch despite all of the losing (tanking?) means there’s a very real opportunity Houston earns a top-four pick, meaning they’ll get to keep their pick and grab a major talent to add this group. That’s the obvious reason for all of this fan confidence.

As for the national questions, we first asked our league-wide voters to pick their top under-25 superstar in the NBA.

While I also picked Luka (because of course), I’m a little surprised at how big the margin was between Doncic and the rest. I thought Jayson Tatum would make a good showing, but he barely garnered 10 percent of the vote. A testament to the power of The Luka, I suppose.

We also asked our voters if they thought health should play a role come awards time, and I think this was an obvious one.

They say one of the best abilities is availability. That should be evaluated along with every other skill when it comes to awards season. It’s one of the reasons why James Harden was so valuable in Houston. Not only was he a superstar, but the guy always played. Ironically, missing time this year in Brooklyn might be one of the reasons that hold Harden back from the MVP award this year.

That’s it for this week. Make sure you sign up here for SB Nation Reacts if you’d like a survey sent to your inbox each week. It only takes a moment and all responses are anonymous
