The Longest Active Winning Streaks In The NBA Right Now

November 20, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Basketball

The NBA season is only 15 games old, yet several teams have already delivered statement runs. These streaks speak to identity, depth, and early-season urgency. Only a few teams can brag about having the longest active streaks, and right now, these four sit at the top.

Detroit: A Stunning Eleven Wins

Detroit owns the league’s longest active streak at 11 games, and no one expected this start. The Pistons have shocked the league by climbing to the first seed in the East. Their 11th straight win, a victory over Atlanta, tied a franchise record set during the 2007–08 season.

This group defends with real purpose and attacks with pace, and that combination has caught several contenders off guard. Detroit now eyes win No. 12 when it faces Milwaukee on Saturday. A win there would push their run into rare territory and extend the league’s longest active streak even further.

Oklahoma City: Shai Leads a Juggernaut

Oklahoma City sits at 15-1 after beating Sacramento 113-99. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 33 points and powered the Thunder to their seventh straight win. Their season opened with two double-overtime escapes and several close finishes. After their lone loss to Portland, the Thunder changed gears.

Every win since has come by double digits. Their average margin during this stretch is 20.3 points. That level of dominance signals a team that expects to contend. OKC will try to extend its run on Friday when it meets Utah in the NBA Cup.

Toronto: A Surging Road Machine

Toronto has quietly built a five-game winning streak. Brandon Ingram and RJ Barrett both scored 22 points in Wednesday’s 121-112 win over Philadelphia. The Raptors hold a 7-3 road record and a 9-2 mark against Eastern Conference opponents.

The team’s balance and late-game execution have improved dramatically. Toronto will attempt to push the streak to six on Friday and could enter December as one of the East’s hardest teams to scout.

Houston: A Modern Offense and a Real Identity

Houston also carries a five-game streak after taking down Cleveland 114-104. The Rockets boast the league’s top offensive rating and a top-10 defense, a rare combination for such a young roster. Their efficiency has vaulted them into a top-three seed.

However, the streak faces a real test on Friday. Denver poses matchup problems across the board, and the Rockets will need defensive discipline to keep their run alive.
