Former Phoenix Suns star Steve Nash is joining the team as a senior adviser, owner Mat Ishbia announced Monday. Ishbia praised Nash’s grit, toughness and winning mentality, saying they define the Suns’ organization. Nash, an eight-time All-Star, had some of his best seasons with the Suns, winning back-to-back MVPs in 2005 and 2006. He was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2018. Nash also coached the Brooklyn Nets for more than two seasons, finishing with a 94-67 record. The Suns, who finished last season with a 36-46 record, have rebuilt their roster in the offseason.
