AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (48-26) lost 9-7 (BOX SCORE)

Sugar Land got on the board in the first inning on a Whitcomb 2 run HR. In the 2nd inning, they picked up 3 more runs on a Whitcomb 2 run double and Leon RBI single. Lauer got the start and went 4 innings allowing 7 runs, 5 earned. Greene allowed 2 runs in relief as El Paso extended their lead. Sugar Land got a Bastidas solo HR in the 6th and a Hensley RBI groundout in the 9th but that was it as the Space Cowboys fell 9-7.

Note: Whitcomb has a .949 OPS this season.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (26-42) lost 5-0 (BOX SCORE)

Brown started the game for the Hooks and went 3.2 innings allowing 2 runs. The pen allowed a few runs as the Cardinals extended their lead. The offense was quiet on the night collecting just 6 hits as the Hooks were shutout in the 5-0 loss.

Asheville got on the board in the second inning on an Encarnacion 2 run double to take a 2-0 lead. Hicks got the start and went 5 innings, allowing just 1 run. True relieved Hicks and tossed 4 scoreless innings with 3 strikeouts as he closed out the 2-1 win.

The Woodpeckers got on the board in the first inning scoring 2 runs on a Villarroel RBI double and Santander sac fly. They got 3 more runs in the 2nd inning on a Villarroel RBI single and Gomez 2 run HR. Encarnacion added a 2 run single in the 3rd. Santos got the start and allowed 3 runs over 4 innings. The bullpen struggled allowing 10 runs and the offense was quiet the rest of the way as the Woodpeckers fell 12-7.
