Framber hits the mound hoping to take back more lost ground from the first place Mariners.
I’m not sure if the Astros won last night’s game or if the Mariners lost it. At least it’s nice to have the other team blow the game for once instead of the Astros killing themselves.
I mean, with runners on second and third and no outs in the eighth down two, how did the Mariners fail to score?
I thought the Astros were terrible at baserunning.
How does the runner at third not score easily on the fly? And then, after he decided to hold, why did he then decide to run and sacrifice himself on the bases as the lead runner at third?
The Astros managed to botch the rundown but still managed to get the out.
A real comedy of errors that ended up in the Astros’ favor for once. Looked like Little League by both teams.
How did the Astros score?
A groundout to second in the fourth inning.
An errant pick-off play at third in the seventh inning, followed by an RBI bunt single by Altuve. (Good on Altuve for bringing back the lost art of bunting and getting his 300th stolen base) Alex Bregman got an RBI on a bases-loaded walk.
One through five in the lineup was 3-16. The team had only seven hits.
It didn’t feel like a triumph, but any win against the first-place Mariners is a good win.
Here’s tonight’s lineup and media access. Looks like a pitcher’s duel. Framber is back in his second start since IL.
